About Us
Our Story
A Voice Can Save a Life is a non-profit organization based in the US that offers mental and emotional health support to individuals, families, couples, and groups. As a non-profit organization, we operate solely on the generosity of donors and volunteers.
Our name is derived from the very fact that many people who are about to commit suicide to stop themselves from doing the unthinkable when they realize that someone is actually there to listen and that someone actually understands and cares about them.
Our Team
Maylette Brown -
Founder and CEO
My name is Maylette Brown and I am the Founder and CEO of A Voice Can Save a Life. Our communities, now more than ever, are facing extreme problems with mental health. I myself am a survivor of mental health conditions that have carried into adulthood from a childhood full of trauma. From abusive relationships, breast cancer survival, and suffering from sexual abuse I have personally experienced a lifetime full of wounds. Through the experiences I’ve overcome I’ve been blessed to provide mentorship and assistance to dozens of mental health victims.
Our key focus is to help provide assistance for victims with depression, anxiety, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, and military-related mental health conditions.
